Our Staff
Angela Waring, Receptionist
Angela has been a member of the staff at Coffee Veterinary Hospital since 2017. She has an associates degree in General Studies.
Angela has been married to her husband, Dustin, since 2003, and they have two teenage sons. Their pet family includes three dogs, one cat, and twenty chickens. Angela enjoys spending time with family and going kayaking with them.
Jessica Kalassay, Lead Veterinary Assistant
Jessica has been a member of the staff at Coffee Veterinary Hospital since 2018. Prior to that, she worked with Dr. Hoover and Dr. Bruner at Black Fox Veterinary from 2006 to 2017.
Jessica has been married to her husband, Mike, since 2008. They have five rescue dogs, goats, and chickens. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with all of her animals.
Tayler Ferrell, Veterinary Assistant
Tayler joined the staff at Coffee Veterinary Hospital in 2020. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Penn Foster; her anticipated graduation date is the summer of 2021. Prior to her position at Coffee Veterinary Hospital, Tayler served as a volunteer for two years at Animed of Bellfork in North Carolina.
Tayler is married to Tyler, and together they have two boys, Austin and Sawyer. Their pet family includes five dogs, Cash, Lassie, Hank, Sallie, and Jeffrey, and one cat named Jasper.
Fun Fact: Tayler is a true crime junkie!
Vera McKnight, Kennel Technician
Vera has been with Coffee Veterinary Hospital since 2019. She earned an associate’s degree in Business in May of 2019 from Motlow State Community College. Vera has experience fostering animals for Saving Paws Rescue and Coffee County Animal Control.
Vera’s has a boyfriend, Damian, and a little brother, Harley. Her pet family includes Max the dog, Teddy, a rescue dog, and two guinea pigs named Astrid and Juniper.
Fun Fact: Vera is a huge fan of “The Office.” She has watched the entire series seven times!
